The Plan Safra (which can be literally translated as Plan Safra or Plan Harvest) is Brazil's most important agricultural policy, which constitutes the pillar of financing for the agricultural sector. Its main objective is to promote credit throughout the entire value chain of Brazilian agriculture: from primary production to the industrialization and commercialization of grains and agro-industrial products. In this sense, the Plan Safra involves a set of actions and financing plans disclosed by the Federal Government of Brazil to support the agricultural sector in the processes of production, commercialization, and industrialization of its production. It is coordinated by the MAPA (Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock) and covers various financing operations for the commercialization and investment of Brazil's agro-industry.
