The province of Almería has exported 375,000 tons of tomato in this last campaign, 5.4% more than the previous one, for 621 million euros, 9.26% more. The production of tomato represents 29% of the horticultural production of the province, the second in importance after the pepper. As for prices, the tomato has been the crop that has reached the highest value with an average price of 0.90€ per kg, which represents an increase of more than 12% compared to the previous campaign. The value of the commercialization of this product has been 908 million euros, 7.23% more than the previous campaign. Regarding the value perceived by the farmer, in the specific case of the tomato, it reached 730 million euros, more than 8% than in the previous campaign.
