Asparagus harvest starts late in Spain, stable price and 20 percent decrease

The frosts in January and February and the lack of rain in recent weeks have caused the forecasts for asparagus production to be lowered by 20%, a crop that suffers from a "shorter" campaign but with prices, for now, " very stable”. This was explained in statements to Efeagro by the general secretary of COAG Granada, Miguel Monferrer, a leading province in the cultivation of asparagus that concentrates more than 60% of the total production in Spain.
