São Paulo, 11/13/2025 - The president of Banco do Brasil, Tarciana Medeiros, attributed the increase in agribusiness delinquency to the concentration of soybean and corn maturities in the third quarter of this year.
At the opening of the results teleconference, Medeiros also cited the approval of Provisional Measure 1314, which allocates credit to rural producers who suffered losses due to climatic events and led to a wait-and-see attitude in the sector, according to her.
"We had an increase in the cost of credit, which reached R$ 17.9 billion and was the main deterrent to the result," she said. "The provisions were strongly affected by agribusiness, whose delinquency exceeded 5%."
Medeiros added that the ambition of BB, now, is to achieve a 20% participation in private payroll loans.
