Brazil starts November with more beef exports

In the first eight working days of November, Brazil exported 68,876 tons of fresh, chilled or frozen beef, with a daily average of 8,609 tons, according to preliminary data from the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), of the Ministry of Economy. This volume is 101.5% greater than that seen in the same month last year, when the average was 4,272 tons per day. Revenue in the period was US$ 368.50 million. On a daily basis, the figure of $5.35 million is 8.5% higher than the daily average of $4.93 million a year earlier. Exports of chicken meat and its offal in the period reached 161.73 thousand tons, or 20,216 tons per day, on average. In October last year, the country shipped an average of 16,099 tons per day, which led to a total of 305,800 tons for the month.
