The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) of Thailand is encouraging Thai exporters to capitalize on the growing demand for healthy and organic food in the Czech Republic. The DITP has directed its commercial ambassadors to explore trade opportunities in this sector, owing to a surge in consumer interest in healthy food, especially organic products, during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Czech Republic's large online food distribution platform has seen a 30% increase in consumers interested in organic products. Thai exporters are advised to target young and elderly consumers and develop age-appropriate products using innovation and modern technology to add value to their organic products. Products like cereal drinks, rice milk, coconut oil, dried fruits, herbal tea, and superfoods made from Thai herbs and ingredients are potential exports.
