The 'K-Rice Belt' project, which aims to increase rice production in African countries by providing Korean seeds and agricultural technology, now has 10 participating countries with the addition of Côte d'Ivoire. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Côte d'Ivoire during a visit by the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Jeong Hwang-geun. The ministry had previously signed MOUs with eight African countries last July and recently signed an agreement with Sierra Leone.
