Approximately 700 kilograms of olives will be harvested in Crimea in 2021, with the area under cultivation expected to expand. The first 200 kilograms have been harvested at a subtropical crops nursery and will be used for the Crimean Olivka brand of oil. An additional 3-4 thousand olive trees are planned to be planted in the next 2-3 years, with an anticipated yield of about 20 tons of olives and 2 tons of oil. The olives are being grown at several locations, including Foros and the Simferopol region, and their development is monitored using a digital map. The Crimean Republic is also planning to present several other food products at the Tastes of Russia National Competition this year.
