Poland: Current prices of cherries for freezing

Will smaller cherry harvests in Serbia and Hungary translate positively into the season and purchase prices in Poland? What are the current prices of industrial cherries? Deliveries of cherries for freezing are still relatively small. Entrepreneurs dealing with trading comment that full deliveries await us next week. Currently, fruit is supplied from specific regions, that is, mainly from poorer soils and non-irrigated orchards. Due to the attractive prices of sweet varieties on wholesale markets, their deliveries to collection points practically did not take place this season. When frozen cherries could be sold for PLN 2.40 - 2.50/kg, wholesale rates were more than twice as high at the same time.
