The price of lemons in Dar es Salaam has dropped by 75% due to a supply increase from a bumper harvest in regions such as Shinyanga, Morogoro, and Tanga. The price of a 50kg sack of lemons has fallen from 200,000/- to 50,000/-. Traders are finding it difficult to make profits due to the high supply and low prices, and are struggling to store the surplus until the low season. However, customers are benefiting from the low prices.
