Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastan Bekeshov proposes to radically toughen the punishment for grazing livestock on cropland. After heated discussions, the Committee on Agrarian Policy, Water Resources, Subsoil Use, and Ecology did not support the document. The initiator of the bill explained that the document was developed after numerous consultations with farmers. According to him, farmers regularly suffer huge losses because livestock owners release animals onto fields in spring and autumn. This not only destroys the harvest but also deprives farmers of the motivation to work, which ultimately threatens the country's food security. If currently they are symbolic, then in the new project for one instance of grazing, the owner can pay up to 30 thousand soms.
