Factors such as yield potential, health profile, quality, and agronomic aspects are indispensable for defining the productive strategy based on the production environment. That is why, from INTA Marcos Juárez, Dionisio Gómez – responsible for the national network of wheat trials – explained that in high-potential environments, yield can be prioritized as the sole objective, but in marginal areas, secondary aspects take on greater importance. "In those environments, we need to make a more economical wheat, so we seek to reduce the number of fungicide applications and achieve good coverage by choosing taller materials with higher biomass," he indicated.
