In the face of challenges due to the occupation by Russian troops and the loss of key markets, Ukrainian gardeners have seen a significant increase in the export of fresh blueberries in 2022, setting a new record with over 2.5 thousand tons, marking a 1.5 times increase from the previous year. This achievement is highlighted by the doubling of exports to the main market, Poland, and substantial growth in exports to the Netherlands, Great Britain, and Moldova. The war has also inspired forestry enterprises in the Khmelnytskyi region to expand their cultivation of vegetables and berries, contributing to the production of dry soups for soldiers and the market. This resilience and adaptability in the face of adversity have resulted in one of the largest horticultural product productions in Ukraine's history.
