The Ukrainian cheese market is experiencing challenges, with manufacturers increasing prices and importing European cheeses due to higher costs. Last month, Ukraine imported a record 3.8 thousand tons of rennet cheese and 626 thousand tons of processed cheese, a overall increase of 11% in cheese imports over the past three quarters. Most of these imports are hard and semi-hard cheeses, which are cheaper than domestic cheeses. Poland is the primary source of these imports, accounting for 46% of all imported cheese.
