Drought Threatens Pine Honey Production Kuraklık Çam Balı üretimi üzerindeki etkileri giderek büyüyor ve bu durum bal üreticileri için ciddi bir tehdit oluşturuyor. Son yıllarda yaşanan aşırı kuraklık, Çam Balı üretimini önemli ölçüde etkiledi. Meteoroloji verilerine göre, son 10 yılda yüzde 30 oranında daha az yağış oldu. Bu durum, Çam Ağaçlarının nektar üretimini azaltmasına neden oldu ve sonuç olarak bal üretimi de düşüş yaşadı. Araştırmalar, Çam Balı üretiminin yüzde 25 oranında azaldığını gösteriyor. Ekonomik açıdan bakıldığında, Çam Balı ihracatı geçen yıl yüzde 15 düşüş kaydetti ve yaklaşık 5 milyon dolar zarar gördü.
