In April, Serbia experienced a notable shift in its agricultural trade, with significant changes in the import and export of various vegetables and fruits. Most notably, there was a sevenfold increase in carrot imports, reaching a record 185 tons, with Russia and Italy as the primary suppliers. Conversely, there was a 34% decrease in apple imports, now totaling 1,700 tons, with North Macedonia and Poland being the main suppliers. Additionally, there was a decline in frozen corn exports, although spinach exports saw a record high of 51 tons. The market for imported blueberries also surged, nearly doubling from the previous year with 61 tons imported mainly from Spain. Conversely, apple exports from Serbia have also decreased, with Russia being the only significant buyer.
