From November to the beginning of December, Egyptian ports received 21 million tons of clean dry bulk, primarily wheat and corn. Wheat imports were dominated by Russia, contributing 74.5% with 9.9 million tons, followed by Ukraine and Romania with 13.9% and 6.2% respectively. The General Authority for Supply Commodities was the largest importer with 45.8% of the wheat. Corn imports were led by Brazil with 54.7%, followed by Ukraine and Argentina. Cairo Three A Company and Manasik Import and Export Company were the largest importers of corn. Freight prices varied by country of origin, with Brazilian imports costing $59 per ton and Argentinian imports $53 per ton.
