Data from the maritime transport sector shows that Egypt has received 560 thousand tons of clean dry bulk, including corn and wheat, through ports Alexandria, Dekheila, and Damietta. The imports include corn from Brazil for various companies and wheat from Russia and Bulgaria for the General Authority for Supply Commodities. Due to declining exporter margins, Sovicon predicts a 17% month-on-month decrease in Russian wheat exports by the end of the month, attributed to rising customs duties on grain exports.
