From January to November 2021, Ukraine experienced a significant decrease in the export of live sheep and goats by 45.6%, amounting to only 32.3 thousand, valued at $ 1.3 million, marking a 60.4% decrease in monetary terms compared to the same period in the previous year. The primary destinations for these exports were Jordan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. Concurrently, Ukraine also saw a surge in the import of live sheep and goats, rising 5.5 times to 1.39 thousand heads, with an increased cost of $ 837.4 thousand, a 6.5 fold increase compared to the early months of 2021. The main countries of origin for these imports were France, Austria, and Hungary.
