Farmers in the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan will benefit from an 80% reduction in tariffs for transporting feed by rail between September 2023 and January 2024. This reduction in fares was introduced by the national carrier Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, and is expected to significantly reduce transportation costs for farmers. In addition to the reduced tariffs, the akimat of the Mangistau region has also allocated funds to subsidize the cost of feed, further supporting local farmers.
