Fruit and vegetable price trend in Italy as of 3 October 2022

The Italian common persimmon campaign has begun. The first Kaiser pears arrive and the volumes of chestnuts increase. For the tomato, the start of the new Sicilian production is recorded. The presence of table grapes is massive, a factor that has brought prices down. Lack of product on the contrary for courgettes which reach very high prices. Thanks to the agreement with the Italian Telematic Commodity Exchange (BMTI) and Italmercati, we publish the survey of fruit and vegetable prices at the wholesale markets as of October 3, 2022.
