Fu Haiyan led a business delegation to visit three South American countries to explore cooperation in promoting carbon credits and agricultural grain trade.
Minister for Trade Relations and Sustainability, Foo Hey Yen, will lead a Singaporean trade delegation on a 10-day visit to South America starting Monday (April 13) to explore opportunities for enhanced cooperation with Peru, Paraguay, and Chile in areas such as carbon credits and agri-food trade. The Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Sustainability issued a joint statement on Monday, saying that Singapore and South America share many common interests in areas such as climate change, sustainable development, and agri-food trade.
