The Galician Agrarian Guarantee Fund has announced an extraordinary measure to provide over €17 million in aid to Galician meat producers, in response to the economic challenges caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the resulting alterations in the international market for raw materials and supplies. This aid, funded from the European Agrarian Fund for Rural Development, aims to support a total of 12,000 producers across the beef cattle, sheep, goat, poultry, and rabbit sectors. Eligible applicants, who must be owners of farms registered in the General Registry of Livestock Farms, will have a month to submit their applications for this non-competitive funding, which is specifically tailored to each type of farm, with the support provided varying based on the capacity or size of the farm.
