Hortifrut, global leader in berry production and marketing, officially launched its 2025-2026 season with the shipment of the first blueberry container from Peru to the Asian market. The shipment, which departed from the Port of Chancay bound for Shanghai, marks a new step in the company's global strategy to continue strengthening its response capacity to demanding markets like China. The container transports 6,750 tons of blueberries and has an estimated arrival date of July 30. Thanks to this new route, transit time is reduced from 32 to 25 days, allowing for delivery of fresher, firmer, and more consistent fruit at the destination. "Reducing transit times allows us to reach China with fresher, firmer, and more flavorful fruit, which translates into a better experience for the consumer.
