On the occasion of the upcoming Easter, the Hungarian Confectionery Manufacturers' Association provided an overview of the developments from the past year and the expectations for this year based on feedback from member companies and the available data. The Association expects a restrained Easter and the continuation of the two-year trend of stagnating or slightly decreasing sales volumes, as buyers compensate for rising prices. The 2025 Easter season was also restrained in terms of sales volumes, while compared to 2024, a price increase of 10-20% was observed for Easter seasonal products, depending on the product group. Throughout the year, the winning category was savory snacks, where both quantity sales and turnover were able to increase.
