From January to April 2023, Ukraine imported 8.5 thousand tons of lard, pork fat, and poultry fat, valued at $9.3 million, according to the State Customs Service. In April alone, the country spent $1.4 million on 1.4 thousand tons of these fats, mainly sourcing from Poland, the Netherlands, and Spain, which accounted for 47%, 25.6%, and 12.7% of the imports, respectively. The price of lard remained stable in April.
