In January 2022, Ukraine continued to export apples to Ethiopia

According to EastFruit analysts, despite a sharp increase in demand for Ukrainian apples in Belarus, neighboring Ukraine, efforts to diversify the export of these fruits continued in 2022. In particular, in January 2022, Ukraine again supplied apples to Ethiopia, which is considered one of the most promising markets in Sub-Saharan Africa. We previously reported that Ukraine, faster than other countries, increased the supply of fresh apples to Ethiopia in 2021, which allowed it to bypass many recognized world leaders, such as China, the USA, Italy and Poland, in terms of exports to this country. It is gratifying that deliveries continued this year as well. However, one cannot fail to note a slight decrease in export rates - in January 2022, apple exports to Ethiopia were two times lower than in the same month of 2021.
