Ukraine: In Lviv Oblast, the area under hazelnuts increased by 6 times

In general, during the period 2019-2023, the area of nut plantations in farms of all categories increased by 14.8%, informs the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Lviv Regional State Administration. Of the total area of nut crops in Ukraine, Lviv region accounts for 6.7% of the area. According to operational information of the department, in the farms of all categories, the area of plantations of nut crops in the current year is 1,340 hectares, of which 90% of the area is occupied by walnut plantations and 10% is for hazelnut cultivation.
