The Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) of the UK has recommended the extension of tariffs on rainbow trout imports from Turkey for the next five years. The tariffs, which were previously inherited from the EU, aim to protect UK rainbow trout farms from subsidized imports, potentially harming small, family-owned businesses. A 30-day consultation period has been opened for stakeholders to comment, after which the TRA will submit its final recommendation to the Secretary of State for International Trade, who will make the final decision.
