The Kyrgyz Ministry of Agriculture announced an inspection of the country's fresh peach and apricot orchards and storage sites by Chinese customs experts. This move is in response to a new agreement with China on the export of these fruits, which requires compliance with China's phytosanitary standards. The inspection will be used to create a list of orchards that meet the necessary export conditions. Kyrgyzstan, a part of Central Asia known for its fruit production, has previously exported cherries and melons to China.
