In 2020, Ukraine saw a significant increase in the export of lard and poultry fat, with a volume of 118.5 tons, a 2.6 times increase from 2019, valued at $ 97.5 thousand, marking an 89.5% increase in revenue. The main importers were Vietnam, Poland, and Azerbaijan. On the other hand, the import of lard and poultry fat decreased by 23.4% to 35.6 thousand tons, with a value of $ 26.2 million, a 17.7% decrease from 2019. Poland, Germany, and the Netherlands were the main suppliers. Despite the increase in exports and decrease in imports, experts do not anticipate a rise in meat prices in Ukraine.
