Spain's meat exports saw a significant increase of 53% in 2020, reaching 2,011,355 tons, as per a report by the General Sub-Directorate of Sanitary Agreements and Border Control of the MAP. The report emphasizes that pork meats and preparations were the most exported products, with a 61% increase, followed by meat and poultry preparations, other meats and preparations, meats and beef preparations, and sheep and goat meat and preparations. China was the leading destination for these exports, with Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, Hong Kong, South Africa, Vietnam, Taiwan, Benin, and Serbia also significant recipients. The report also mentions new or updated procedures for exporting meat products to New Zealand, Argentina, South Korea, and the United States.
