The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in South Korea has released the '2021 Comprehensive Measures for Preventing Jellyfish Damage' to mitigate the impact of jellyfish in the coastal waters. The plan includes predicting jellyfish movements, operating a 'Jellyfish Reporting Web', providing funds for investigating and removing polyp larvae, and installing prevention screens at beaches. It also covers damage management for aquaculture and fisheries, public awareness of toxic jellyfish, and first aid tips. A central and regional countermeasure headquarters will be established to manage the situation, and fishing and public vessels will be used for jellyfish removal.
