Ukraine is one of the leading producers of currants, with an area dedicated to the berry being 20,000 hectares, 24% of which is dedicated to black and red currants. The country's average yield is 5.04 tons per hectare, making it among the top three producers globally. However, the price of currants is expected to remain stable as there is no significant demand for the berry for over a decade. The expert predicts a slight increase in price within the next few years.
