From January to October 2020, Ukraine experienced a 52.3% increase in mollusk exports, totaling 1,500 tons, valued at $4 million - a 27.8% increase compared to the same period in 2019. The majority of these exports, over 90%, were received by Turkey, with Lithuania and Spain being the next biggest buyers. This growth in mollusk exports is anticipated to further increase, with the largest Ukrainian snail farm planning to expand its area twice the size.
