Nelore creates Nelore Brazil Certification Seal – The Green Label of Agro, with social and environmental respect

The Nelore Breeders Association of Brazil (ACNB) launches the Nelore Brasil Certification Seal for Nellore beef, which requires important commitments in terms of sustainable production. Among other items, Nellore beef with the Green Label respects environmental and labor legislation, in addition to being 100% tracked – from birth to point of sale. Another requirement is the finishing of certified animals on pasture. “The Nellore breed once again shows the market and consumers that it is very concerned about environmental issues and social responsibility. The producer participating in the certification protocol that supports the Green Label respects the rules of the Forest Code, does not use child labor and slavery, nor does it use indigenous areas for livestock production”, explains Nabih Amin El Aouar, president of ACNB. “This is yet another initiative for the valorization of Nelore genetics, the basis of Brazilian cattle raising”, complements the president.
