A recent study by the Expo Solutions group has revealed a shift in the European market's demand for fish products. While traditional fish products like processed pollock, cod, and haddock are experiencing a decline in export profitability to Europe, there's a notable rise in the import of fish oil and fishmeal. This trend is driven by the high global demand for these products, essential in the production of Omega-3 fortified products and in serving as feed for livestock and aquaculture. Over the last five years, countries including France, Great Britain, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Spain, Italy, and Greece have significantly increased their imports of these valuable commodities.
