Onion prices in Pune have surged by 21% in four days, reaching a five-year high of over ₹60 per kg due to September rainfall affecting the new crop's arrival, impacting inflation data for November. This price hike, along with increased costs of tomatoes, potatoes, and cooking oils, has led to a rise in the prices of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian thalis in October. While Crisil predicts stabilization of tomato and onion prices in November, potato prices may remain high for longer. The Reserve Bank of India expects a higher Consumer Price Index for October compared to September's 5.5%. Additionally, nominations for the ET MSME Awards are open until November 30, 2024.
