The expected average yield of grain corn in the European Union has decreased by 3% compared to the average of the past 5 years, primarily due to weather conditions in Romania, Bulgaria, and Greece. However, the average yield is still 23% higher than last year. Hungary has seen a significant improvement in the average yield of grain corn, with an increase of 17% compared to the average of the past 5 years and 140% higher than last year. The heavy rainfall in central and northern Europe has had a negative effect on crop quality and delayed harvests.
