The Rural Development Administration in South Korea will begin selling the Korean garlic variety 'Hongsan' in large supermarkets and online stores nationwide from the end of June. This garlic variety can be cultivated in any part of the country and has a higher chlorophyll content and allicin, a functional component of garlic, compared to other varieties. It will be distributed through major plantations and sold through various channels including Coupang, Lotte Mart, E-Mart, Hanaro Club, and wholesale markets.
