The Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association has reached a milestone by exceeding $1 billion in exports for the first time in its 54-year history. This achievement was made possible by the high exports of cherry, pickled, and dried tomatoes, as well as table grapes and tomatoes. The union ended 2020 with $890 million in exports, ranking third among seven agricultural unions within the Aegean Exporters Unions (EIB). The association anticipates further record-breaking exports in 2021 due to the pandemic's increased demand for fresh fruits and vegetables.
