The Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Agricultural Technology Institute Western Agricultural Technology Center (Director Kang Byung-soo) announced that the Western plum 'prune' cultivated by 10 farms in Hallim-eup, Jeju City, on a 3.3-hectare scale, will be fully shipped this autumn. The prunes being shipped this time were produced in a cultivation area established through the 'Hallim Agricultural Cooperative Elite Income Crop Complex Project' in 2022. The currently cultivated varieties are 'President', 'Black King', and 'Big Purple'. The prunes being shipped this year have a deep purple color, with a fruit weight of approximately 100g each, and an average sugar content of 16 Brix.
