"Prune 'Frun' in full swing from Jeju"

The shipment of reddish-purple plums 'prune' from Jeju has begun. The Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Agricultural Technology Institute Western Agricultural Technology Center (Director Kang Byung-soo) announced that the Western plum 'prune' cultivated by 10 farms in Hallim-eup, Jeju City, on a scale of 3.3 hectares, will be fully shipped this autumn. The prunes being shipped this time were produced in a cultivation area established through the 'Hallim Agricultural Cooperative Elite Income Crop Complex Project' in 2022. The varieties currently being cultivated are 'President', 'Black King', and 'Big Purple', three types. The prunes being shipped this year have a deep reddish-purple color, with a fruit weight of approximately 100g and an average sugar content of 16 Brix, characterized by their soft texture and high sugar content.
