Iran and Russia have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen their trade relations in the agricultural and food industries, focusing on long-term grain purchases. The agreement, signed during a visit to Moscow by an Iranian business delegation, also includes the creation of inspection and quarantine groups at the borders to mitigate veterinary risks in the export of Iranian dairy and seafood products. This move is expected to diversify Iran's import sources for basic goods and reduce its dependence on traditional suppliers.
