In 2023, the trade of agricultural products between China and Russia experienced a significant increase of 33%, reaching over 11 billion US dollars. This growth was primarily driven by a surge in China's purchases of Russian grain and fish, with grain imports up by 57% and fish imports exceeding 36%. China's import of Russian seafood hit a record high of 1.29 million tons, and the demand for crab products from Russia saw a notable increase of 10%, contributing to a 29% rise in their value. Over the past two years, Russia has exported fish products to 80 countries, witnessing a 9% increase in its supplies to foreign markets.
