Salmon was exported from Ukraine for the first time

In 2020, for the first time, organic salmon was imported to Ukraine for processing and further export to the EU. “In 2020, there were no significant changes in the structure of exports of organic products. The main export category remains raw materials, ie cereals, oilseeds and cereals. However, processed products and berries equalize and add value to the structure of exports of organic products, ”said Iryna Fedorchenko, a representative of Organic Standard LLC. Among the products of processing, she notes the concentrate of apple juice, although it is quite unstable product, which depends on the yield of apples. In 2020, it exported 3.4 thousand tons, which is 1 thousand tons less than in 2019. In addition, 1.5 thousand tons of fresh organic apples were exported last year. “Among the berries, frozen frozen blueberries are exported, last year the export was at the level of 6 thousand tons. Every year this figure is about the same, but the export of dried blueberries is increasing. ...
