South Korean health authorities have approved the entry of beef cuts and blocks from Uruguay, reinforcing Uruguay's reputation as a supplier of quality and safe beef. The approval covers trimming, blocks, and boneless beef, in addition to thermo-processed meat, which was the previous agreement. The Uruguayan Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries (MGAP) announced the approval after a health certificate model from Uruguay was accepted. The South Korean beef market is attractive due to its high volume, fast growth, and high import prices.
