The 'Bogparvari Sughd' farmers' society in Tajikistan's Bobojon Gafurov region has initiated the creation of a 10-hectare super-intensive garden, using seedlings from Japan, Italy, and Turkey. The region has also seen the development of a 5-hectare super-intensive plum garden at 'Vahdat National Garden'. This follows a state program that more than doubled the planned new garden and vineyard area in the region from 2016 to 2020. The majority of these gardens are irrigated by drip irrigation and are located on rainfed, pasture, and fallow lands. The production of export-oriented fruits such as apricots, cherries, plums, apples, peaches, and persimmons has seen an increase, with a total of 137.4 thousand tons produced in the past 11 months.
