The village of Zaliznyak in the Sumy region of Ukraine has collected 25 kg of chicory roots, which will be used for master classes on its processing and preparation, as well as for excursions at the rural library-branch. The village planted the chicory seeds with grant funds from the "Incredible Villages of Ukraine 2019" competition and plans to make it a niche culture and promote tourism. Other settlements and a local farmer have shown interest in this venture, and the village plans to continue sowing chicory next year.
