From July 1, 2020, to October 8, 2020, imports of sunflower meal in the European Union and the UK have decreased by 25% compared to the previous season, totaling 545.5 thousand tons. The main suppliers were Russia (38%), Ukraine (35%), and Argentina (22%). The primary importers among EU countries were Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, and France. Throughout the last season, the EU imported 3.1 million tons of sunflower meal, with Ukraine and Russia being the leading suppliers.
