Now, drivers with licenses of categories C1, C, D1, and D, who usually operate trucks, buses, or vans, can work on tractors and harvesters without obtaining a separate tractor operator's license. Such changes in Decree No. 217 were approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on April 6, 2026, in response to the chronic shortage of agricultural machinery operators during the sowing and harvesting campaigns. What machines fall under the new rules According to the updated regulations, drivers with the aforementioned license categories can work on a wide range of agricultural machinery.
